If a child is fortunate to attend school, studying at night is usually impossible as there is often no electricity. The child pictured here is looking through his first book. Free access to education, books, and mentors always came to me so readily. He used my only pen for sketching symbols he’s seen that mean luck and harmony. Photo: Scot Frank.
